It provides no warranty and limits liability for the author. SIL Open Font License (OFL) The SIL Open Font License is designed specifically for fonts. It allows fonts to be freely used, studied, modified, and redistributed, as long as they are not sold by themselves and any modified versions are renamed to avoid confusion with the originals. The license ensures fonts remain open while protecting the authors’ work and names. Apache License 2.0 The Apache License 2.0 allows users to freely use, modify, and distribute software, including for commercial purposes. It requires preservation of the copyright notice, license text, and a notice of any changes made. It also grants an explicit patent license to users, offering legal protection against patent claims related to the software.
